Normally, Sandra Easson-Bruno is the person actively promoting a member of her team, a colleague or acquaintance but this time we’re turning the tables! We are so proud to announce that NSM SGS’ Director, Sandra Easson-Bruno, is being inducted as a 2024 Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing. Congratulations!
The Canadian Academy of Nursing, which was established by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), is inducting 15 of Canada’s most accomplished nursing leaders who were nominated by their colleagues for their exceptional careers of sustained impact across nursing and health systems. “Fellowship represents the highest honour for Canada’s most accomplished nursing leaders,” says Academy advisory council chair Sally Thorne.
“Sandra’s leadership has led to many achievements in seniors programming. In North Simcoe Muskoka she has been key in establishing a single, integrated geriatric mental health service, an expanded geriatric medicine team and a Central Intake Service. Through her leadership, our region and other Ontario Health Teams in this area are seen as leaders in seniors’ programming.
